MMAinterviews learned that Fabricio Werdum recently underwent minor knee surgery, but will be ready to begin the filming of the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil.” The surgery was a simple knee scope and Werdum will be back training in no time according to the sources.

Werdum will of course be coaching opposite legendary heavyweight Antonio “Minotauro” Nogueira, with the two jiu-jitsu black belts scheduled to compete at the finale in June.

Werdum has won five of his last six fights, only losing to Alistair Overeem via decision back in Strikeforce. Since coming back to the UFC, he has defeated Roy Nelson and Mike Russow impressively in the octagon and Dana White has been on record saying that he would likely be next in line for a title shot if he defeats Nogueira in June.
