Director Andre Enzensberger followed former WEC bantamweight fighter Chad George around for years getting all the footage for the full length feature film called “Occupation: Fighter.” The film chronicles the life of George as a fighter leading up to and throughout his stint in the WEC.
What I enjoyed about this film is that it is real. It’s not some story line with fake fight footage. It shows the hard work, the pain, the monetary issues that come along with being a mixed martial arts fighter. Dan Hardy and Thomas Denny are featured in the movie that contains footage of training as well as some of George’s fights.
The trailer is embedded but the full movie can be purchased and downloaded for a meager $10 at http://occupationfighter.com/. I highly recommend you support this film.
“The film was made with a combined passion for artistic film-making and the sport of MMA. All phases of production took a total of 18 months of dedication and hard work. Chad is such an amazing human being and fighter, which inspired me to never stop working on the film until I was confident that it was a perfectly accurate portrayal of a fighter’s life and their sacrifices made. Moreover, my personal experience in partaking on an emotional roller coaster journey with true-blooded MMA fighters like Chad and his well-known training partners ultimately set the tone of how the story is being told and what fans should take from the film – to be motivated in life.”
